Ho‘ike Hawai‘i 2020 Hula Competition is Cancelled Because of Coronavirus Pandemic

Due to concerns regarding the coronavirus pandemic the Ho‘ike Hawai‘i 2020 Hula Competition has been cancelled. It was a result we have been working towards as the safety of all attendees, participants, and volunteers always come first. The cultural workshop planned for the Fall 2020 is also canceled.

However, we are happy to announce that a new date has been set for the Ho‘ike Hawai‘i 2021 Hula Competition, which is July 24 & 25, 2021 at the Wyndham Orlando Resort. In the near future the website will reflect the necessary changes in dates and details pertaining to next year’s event.

We thank everyone for your patience as we worked on a new schedule. At this time, we are informing everyone who has paid for tickets, vendor space, sponsorship and competition entries to let us know your decision to either have funds refunded, or rolled over to the 2021 event. Please notify us of your decision via email to info@hoikehawaii.com. As for the hotel room cancellation, we expect the hotel to cancel the Ho‘ike Hawai‘i room block. Those who did not book under the Ho‘ike Hawai‘i group code should contact the hotel directly to cancel their reservations.

Mahalo nui loa for all your aloha and continued support through the years. You are all so appreciated and loved. We look forward to seeing you next year and share in the Spirit of Aloha once again!

A hui hou!
